Network Testing Companion Installation Guide
The Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams Network Testing Companion gives you an easy way to test your network quality and your connection to Skype for Business Online or Microsoft Teams. The results can be easily interpreted and shared with network administrators to gain insights into potential network issues.
You can use this tool in the planning phase of a Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams deployment. If you're currently using Teams or Skype for Business Online, you can use this tool to troubleshoot voice quality issues or simply to check your network connection before you make a call or after you’ve had a poor-quality experience.
You don’t need an Office 365 subscription to install or run this tool.
Anyone who has administrator rights to the computer can install the Network Testing Companion. The tool is hosted on PowerShell Gallery and can be installed as follows:
Because the Network Testing Companion uses Windows PowerShell, your execution policies can prevent you from successfully running it. If your computer’s execution policy doesn’t permit you to run scripts, the command for creating shortcuts won’t work even if the module was installed successfully. For information about configuring PowerShell execution policies so you can run the Network Testing Companion, see About Execution Policies.
